11/22/2003 The *Original* Glenfinnan Frank ,Dave and John had a reunion concert tonight at Churchill's Pub..It was a great time for all and brought back lots of fond memories of the past 12 years. Maybe they could do it again sometime in the future. But in a more friendly venue. In the meantime we will be posting pictures of the concert and some of John's far flung adventures. Keep tuned for more updates.
10/18/2003 The *ORIGINAL* Glenfinnan group is coming home to The Camelot Inn oops Churchill's Pub in San Marcos this November 22 for a Reunion Concert Reception at 6:00 music at 7:00 until??? Don't miss this chance for a good time with old friends and some great music. The Fraser Clan is coming and who knows will happen. There may be a few beers and a few tears as we listen to our old favorites. Was that the guys or the songs.......doesn't matter.

1/25/03 Who says that Glenfinnan can't live on in one form or another??? Tonight was the debut performance of the Westlin' Weavers at the North County Scots "Rabbie Burns Supper" and naturally *grin*, we were a hit. It was great to see some of the old Camelot crowd mixed in with the 250 attendees. Dean and Rena Wagner, Tom and Mary-Jo, Graham and Sheri and Dani MacGruer, Rob and Janette McClintock and few other faces that used to stop by the Cam for a pint and a bit o' music.

Who are the Westlin' Weavers? Well, after the sad split of Glenfinnan, Jeanne and Marc weren't about to stop performing, and by "Rabbie" we haven't. We roped in sometimes guest bassist, Scott Langen, and the three of us  formed the Westlin' Weavers. We're doing all the old favorites and a bunch of new ones.

Keep checking the GF gigs page of check out our budding website ... www.westlinweavers.com for more information. For us however, GF is still in our hearts and we'll continue to keep the GF website updated with the latest information.

12/7/02 Our last night together. Glenfinnan has undergone many changes in its 25 year history and this is undoubtedly just one more phase. For now, GF is a fond memory for all of us. David, Jeanne, Frank, Trent, John and Marc would like to thank each and every one of you for making the GF experience a lot of fun. It wasn't just us up there singing, it was also you out there enjoying the music.

David will be still be performing up in the Redlands area while Jeanne and Marc will be hitting the pubs around San Diego under the moniker of the Westlin Weavers. Drop on by or drop us a line, we'd really like to stay in touch with you.

11/7/02 Lots of fun as always. A big Ren Faire crowd and the House of Scotland bunch kept the energy up while we sorted out our sound issues. Thanks to every one who came out and let me be the first to apologize to Otis Redding for our impromptu rendition of Dock Of The Bay.

A mini-reunion took place up on stage. Frank Frizell came out and he and David did some old favorites ... including the Jelly Pieces Song. Payback's a B****, isn't it Frank?

Special thanks to Rena who brought herself out to the pub with a bum knee.

9/6/02 Could this pub singing be anymore fun! The audience had a blast ... drinking up the pints and throwing the coasters. We'd like to thank everyone who came out, particularly young Heather who joined us up on stage for some Cat Stevens stuff. Who'd a thought an 8 year old could get a crowd moving like she did? See you all on the 5th of October for some more laughs and loads of fun.

8/3/02 Another fun night at our favorite Pub. We'd of course like to thank everyone that came out, including our regular fans: Dani, Cheri (sp), Graham, Trent, Kevin, Holly, Brian, Andi, Kari (Car-E), Kathy, Taff, Briana, Kari (Care-E), Tom, Mary-Jo, Rob, Janette, and everyone else whose name my aging brain has forgotten.

We'd especially like to thank Dani McGruer (sp) for coming up on stage and joining us for "Flower of Scotland". Dani did American Sign Language to the words and it just makes the song even more special. Jeanne's rendition of "The Red Rampant Lion" went over well and will be added to our permanent repertoire of songs.

Don't forget to email us your requests at webmaster@glenfinnan.com. We'd like to know what you want to hear. Look for the Unicorn Song next month!
